I'm liking the looks of those routes Cruz, the biggest factor, (especially with the longer one) is traffic, it maybe a problem...but maybe not. I'm not opposed to several places to stay but it starts getting hard for a big group to find places, some of these places also require more than 1 nights stay. It everyone wants to do this then lets look into it but we have to do it soon.

Already rented out, good find though. Its appearing we'll need a coupla places with the amount of people we're getting plus we need to remember that they say sleeps 12 but thats probably only 6 beds, this includes pull out sofas. Thanks for looking G, keep it going.......he could use some help though people, none of us are familiar with the area.

Don't count me in the bed count - I'm happy with the corner of the kitchen and have my own sleeping setup.

I believe the traffic is going to be a given no matter where we decide to stay, so let's move ahead with something asap... !   We're seeing "booked" already.   Aussie, if you're doing the lead on this, Gerry's Telluride housing looks pretty sweet !   I'm just paranoid enough to think we may be out of a decent place for the bunch of us if we don't move on it quickly  !....  Seems a bit more hectic than Kanab, but this is mainstream Colorado vacation and ski country we're talkin' about ....

G, i believe its # of persons not #of rooms. Would this be a secondary place or a full time base?  if everyone had a bed i'd feel better about it....yes O, I know you dont care but........
We may be forced to sleep people on the floor but that'd be a last resort, I dont think thats fair with everyone chipping in the same amount, especially for those who are committing early to this. G, thanks for posting link.
Weedman, I agree with booking sooner than later, i'd like a concensous on whether a single or multiple places to stay. Personally I think a single place is easier for a decent size group, if travelling with just a couple its alot easier doing the multiple thing...just my opinion.

Its a number of people. they have enough beds for 12 people ( couples/single person) they just shoe horn every one into the rooms that way the get their dollars worth. So, there will not be a lot of privacy for the couples, and I am not sure if Olive carries a Glock or not.

But, If you look at most of the dates, every one seems to be booking the Sunday 3rd on. sat being the travel day.

On my past rides, if we picked a place to stay condo style, and the group decided to do a 400 mile ride, the town we picked had a hostel and we just spent the night there. Next morning, went back to base. logistic wise, it will be a super pain in the azz if we jump from one place to another booking wise. Long weekend and mountains not to mention if they ding us a "house cleaning charge'

I will have my 2 man tent, im just not much of a cuddle bunny.

Agreed, my deal is I doubt the misses would be happy doing a hostel, (wonder if theres a Hampton Inn) and I know from previous years its nice to come back to home base.....the drinks are already there waiting. I think we really need to count beds and not # of people, obviously couples will be fine but at this stage only 1 couple has signed up.....RocketMonkey are you listening!!!!
I wanna say something about ya 2 MAN tent but I cant......... laughing7  laughing7

Single home base for me.

If people decide to branch off and spend the night in some other spot thats cool. As we all have cell phones, for any of the longer day rides we can stay in contact with the faster riders via text if the slower riders are bit behind. I do not mind riding sweep.I have 2 weeks to enjoy the ride and meet all of you. Next year, I will only have about  8 days for BBB4.

Hi Aussie,

I can do a lot of good research to help find a place.  Should I be looking in Telluride and the surrounding area?  How many beds do you think is the max needed? Since I am not going to be riding, this is my contribution...and I am really good at this.  Ask, RRW. icon_biggrin

See you Sunday!
