Ended up not attempting a return trip today.  Not feeling up to it and the desert winds are cause for concern, especially on a bike.  It's blowing at 37 mph along parts of the 15 right now!  Gusts expected to reach 50 mph !!   So maybe the forgetfulness had a purpose !   dontknow   I thought about driving, but I like my paint job as it is !!   Missing a trip to the track with Aussie's grounds for committal right there, but there'll be another day.  And you're so right, Randy;  kudos 10x to my Vegas connection !   notworthy

Its a bummer not having the Weedman up here but its better to be safe than sorry. We'll do it again sometime but this weekend was not to be...i'll still be tracking Sunday with Toddulu though  icon_biggrin
Yep the 15 is as you descibe Steve, I think the worst part though is the traffic if you hit it at the wrong time on a weekend, especially a long weekend.

I have heard about the holiday weekend traffic and never plan to experience it.

....Not to be entirely denied, I took Saturday off and drove to Pahrump yesterday...  spent quality time with Aussie and Toddulu...  those boys are fast, quick and smooth.  It was a treat watching them chase each other around  ---  AND PASS riders  !   They also had a few of what I would consider Expert riders out there..  just awesome watching how quick they are up close.

Kim and Aussie put me up for the night.  They're the best !  4' 10" later, home !...   That's a new record, NoMo !   And on a holiday weekend out of Vegas as well.  Traffic was heavy, but 80 mph was the norm.  Todd stayed in Vegas to visit his sister and expects to leave for L.A. (he lives about 10 minutes from me) around noon !   I don't envy him one bit, considering how heavy traffic was when I left town at 6 a.m....

I'll post some images after I go take a nap  !!   629 miles round trip !  .... I'm whipped.. !
