I had a great weekend at Barber.  The weather was perfect with temps in the 70s.  I managed to get bumped to the advanced groups.  It was good and bad because I was having fun passing most of the other riders in intermediate, but I wasn't going to get any faster that way.  During my evaluation laps a 13 year old kid stood his bike up as I was passing him and ran me right into the pits.  Riding in advanced was a very humbling experience.  There were some guys I could pass but the fast riders were so damn fast and they can pass you ANYWHERE!

In this first video PJ follows me in advanced.

Good stuff Steve, you've really taken to this "track" thing huh  laughing7

Yes, being in advanced is really humbling, when I run it I just try'n stay outta the way but I must say it makes you a better rider. I've been running intermediate the last few times out and really dont learn alot, its when you get with the fast ones the game is lifted, it really makes me run better knowing my game has to be at a higher level.

I got out to Spring Mtn Sat which was the first time on track in almost 5 months ..... i've been paying for it ever since. Getting old suks!!! Anyone got an Advil??  are you real

Yeah, I do.  And the more you ride, the less it'll cost you  ! ! !

If that's the new "old man" pill, I'm all over it  !!    disgust

My trip to Willow Springs didn't leave me sore at all......  5 laps won't do that !  ....    more  disgust

5 laps?  That sounds like my last trip to Road Atlanta, but I got to do 6 laps.  I wasn't interested in riding in the rain and the dry sessions were full of red flags.

I did one abbreviated session, about 6 laps, and SOW totally kicked my ass !  ...  I couldn't get any rhythm, I was way tight, and as a result, found the track to be too technical for my limited ability that day....  And here all this time, I thought I'd be in shape and up to it.  Also had some asshat passed me on the inside, at speed, within inches !!  A corner worker was right there and did nothing !!  That didn't help with the attitude thing ..   disgust
